A History of Britain is a BBC documentary series written and presented by Simon Schama and features a study of the history of the British Isles, examining a particular period and tell of its events in his own style. The show spans a timeline from 3100 B.C. to the sixties of the 20th century.
Featuring the years 1558-1603, the seventh part of this show tells the tale of the infamous rivalry between two powerful women: Queen Elizabeth I of England and Mary, Queen of Scots. This famous dispute will see Mary beheaded and a new union born. The union between England and Scotland would give way for the new nation of Britain.
