A History of Britain is a BBC documentary series written and presented by Simon Schama and features a study of the history of the British Isles, examining a particular period and tell of its events in his own style. The show spans a timeline from 3100 B.C. to the sixties of the 20th century.
In the 15th and final episode covering the years of 1910 until 1965, Schama introduces two unique individuals, Winston Churchill and George Orwell, who undoubtedly shaped Britains future by pondering its past. In their time, they once again raised the question about what it meant to be British and provided an answer for future generations.
