Heroes and Villains – Napoleon
The BBC produced docudrama Heroes and Villains spans six episodes depicting the deeds and atrocities committed by some of history‘s greatest and renowned personalities. The show was produced with the help of modern historians aswell as the ancient writings and accounts made by contemporary people, providing a very realistic and authentic feel.
This episode follows one of France‘s most famous idols, Napoleon Bonaparte. During the end of the French Revolution in which the country was in turmoil, a young Napoleon made a very successful career in the French army fighting for the revolutionaries. there, he proved his military and tactical genius in many skirmishes and battles all over France. Little did he know, that this military career will soon see him crowned emperor of France and taking over much of Europe and beyond, up to the walls of Moscow.
