Lock n’ Load is a documentary about the various weapons which were and are used in warfare. The show is hosted by ex-marine Sgt. R. Lee Ermey who analyses and demonstrates the weapons featured in the show and also explains the origins and concept which brought about these technologies.
What makes firearms really deadly is the ammunition it fires. Unbeknownst to many, ammo underwent constant changes and improvements over the centuries, leading to a myriad of rounds for different purposes. What started from stone or lead balls lead up to the modern armour piercing incendiary round able to slam through thick armour and ignite the target. The innovations also changed the whole appearance of the bullets, evening out flaws and improving speed, power and accuracy all at the same time.
