This 3 part documentary produced by the BBC tells different stories about brave men who went to war in Afghanistan and who witnessed several horrors of war firsthand. These stories are told through the eyes of these young men who survived, but also lost friends during the war.
The first episode entitled “Ambushed”, tells the story of a very close group who were ambushed in the Helmand province back in 2007. During this ambush, 19-year old Private Chris Gray was killed in action. This episode shows you how the death of a teammate and fellow friend affected the other members of the group and his relatives back in the UK.
